Fire Cider Workshop

Presented by Calcite & Comfrey Join local Herbalist Deb Waldinger of Calcite & Comfrey! In this hands-on session, you’ll craft your own 32 oz jar of Fire Cider to take home. Dive into the medicinal wonders of this warming, hot, and sweet tonic, featuring various root vegetables and peppers steeped in apple cider vinegar, and sweetened with honey. Fire Cider is renowned for its potential benefits in digestion, circulation, and immune support. Plus, we’ll be using Stonewall Farm’s very own honey to create this fantastic oxymel, a recipe popularized by Rosemary Gladstar. Don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity! When: January 15th at 5:30 PM (will run approximately 1-1.5 hours) Where: Stonewall Farm, 242 Chesterfield Rd, Keene, NH. In the Learning Center, first floor (same building as the Farm Store) Cost: $45/person and includes mason jar, all ingredients, Q & A with the instructor, a recipe card, and an informational handout. Participating in this workshop allows you to sign up for a discounted copy of the book, Fire Cider! 101 Zesty Recipes for Health-Boosting Remedies Made with Apple Cider Vinegar, by Rosemary Gladstar. You’ll gain a comprehensive understanding of every ingredient and how they harmonize to create a powerful remedy. Fire cider serves dual purposes — as a tonic for enhancing overall well-being and as a culinary enhancer in the kitchen. Additionally, we’ll delve into the rich history of fire cider.
